I Was Blessed by Giving to MTM

During a MTM offering appeal, I was sitting with my wife listening and mentally calculating what would “hurt” and what would be a “sacrifice.” I wrote a note to her that said, “$1k would hurt, $2k would be a sacrifice”. She nodded that it was fine. I can say that neither of us “felt” anything it was just a calculated decision to give. Anyway, we wrote a check. The next day, I got to work and re-read a settlement email I had received last week. I’ve looked at it several times concerning a car accident I had in January, but this morning when I read it again, I got a surprise. I got my calculator out and did the math. Originally it looked like it would just cover the medical bills, but I was reading it wrong till this morning. They are going to give us an additional $5k over the cost of the medical bills for “pain and suffering”. Over double the amount of the SFC check. This accident thing has been dragging out for months, but now we know why. I guess God blinded my eyes on the email till the day after. It can’t be a coincidence. Praise God. I know these things happen, but this day, it happened to us!
